On July 11, Burgerville and members of Industrial Workers of the World d/b/a Burgerville Workers Union (BVWU) came together for their third meeting to bargain in good faith for a collective contract. As has been the precedent, the meeting was both respectful and constructive. A number of ground rules that had been laid out in the previous two meetings were agreed upon, including the following guiding principles:
a) Our conversations are grounded in respect.
b) Our conversations are grounded in facts.
c) All proposals demonstrate real outcomes for all parties.
d) All parties are 100% responsible for the results and outcomes.
Burgerville and the BVWU look forward to the next scheduled full day meeting on July 25.
